This is quite neat! It looks to have been staged, but I am assuming it was not. If I were to have staged this scene I would have placed the island in the backgound in the centre of the frame. Since the 3 boats are almost in perfect symmetry, and that is something that you have based the image on, I would then have placed the island in the centre. Having had no control over the elements in the image you have done a remarkable job!
