Digital infrared image; re-leveled in photoshop. I am fond of infrared film (konica especially) in my medium format camera. I have been working on a photoshop workflow surrounding using the finepix with a #25 filter to accomplish a similar "look"

This is a "digital infrared" portrait. I am slowly converging on a workflow with my digital camera I hope will eventually give me the effect I have come to know and love from my medium-format camera with konica infrared film. It ain't there, but it's getting interesting!

Here I was experimenting with composition more than anything else. Swords are great for photos because they tend to move the eye "on demand" for the photographer.

Marcus...very well done. I generally do not care for women and weapons prints but Marie looks completely comfortable with the blade! A great job on both your parts with pose and lighting. Definitely an image to be proud of and worthy of hanging on a wall!!

Like Mr. Croninger said, she looks very confortable, like if drawning her sword out is an everyday thing. And that gives her an aura of power and strength. I'm sending this URL to a couple of kendoist friends for more opinios. Great photograph.

Whoa, careful now ... lady! The expressions and body language was well captured.

The composition is wonderful. It seems to me that the contrast needs a little more snap. I understand that the transformation to jpeg and upload sometimes alters the tonality, so it might just be that.

Strong contrast and subject in this shot. I particularly like the composition, the strong point of which is the curve of the blade. that is where I find my eye finishing in the shot, instead of her face. good line of connection between face and hand.
