Tide pool in Milford Sound, New Zealand

DB_Gallery

In one of the most photographed spots in the world, I found a tide pool and got my lens shade wet it was so close to the water. Nikon F-100, 17-35 @24mm 1/10th of second @f/22

Just in case you are all curious, I got the lens shade wet the camera was so low to the water hanging upsidedown from the center colum of my tripod

Seems a little too under-exposed for my taste. Some more detail in the shadows would add to the shot. Never-the-less, good perspective and daring composition.

Great shot - really love it - I think the exposure is perfect - the mountainside on the right adds to the composition.

Do you think it could be shot with a wide angle lens as well ... ;)

Of all the images on photo.net, this is the one I remember best, and keep coming back to. It is one of my favorite images. I admire your skill.

This is a great photo. I've been to Milford Sound (only a flying visit) and this really makes me want to go back and spend some time kayaking around it rather than doing the touristy red boat trip around it (time didn't allow that last time).

Daniel. Great photos you your portfolio. Did you hike the Milford Track? If yes then I would like to ask you a couple of questions. Please contact me.

I love how this isn't your typical shot of this landscape - your unique perspective really makes this an excellent photo.
