Music tent overhead remote

DB_Gallery

This was one of two remote cameras fired from a pocket wizard. I rented a 8mm nikkor fisheye to get the whole opening night performance in the new Aspen Music tent and include the crowd. I'm actually in the picture.

Makes me wonder how on earth (or not!) you set this one up. Incredible folder... makes me realise I don't need any more equipment, just some more ability.

I like the no-holds-barred approach to adding the perfecting touch to the final image, too (lights, filters, cropping, colour balance) now I feel less guilty with my D30.

I am a musician, myself, and just loved the picture. This is a very original point of view and don't think I will ever be able to see an orchestra from there ;-)))

Congratulations again! Wonderful portfolio!!

This is one rare photo - a fisheye shot that not only benefits from the fisheye effect, it DEMANDS it to make it work. Since I see so many fisheye shots that are just gimmicks, I have to give this picture a "10" for originality. And it rates highly on aesthetics - the black void outside the hall emphasizes the intimate nature of the performance.

I am a musician. I actualy played in that tent few years ago when I was a student (I played in the Chamber Orchestra in 1998, I don't know if you were there). Anyway, I think your photos are the best. You are such a great photographer and artist. Thank you for sharing your wonderful works.
