JPPhoto1664880217 7 Posted May 12, 2010 Reminiscent of a time gone by. Reminds me a bit of George Hurrell's early work. Beautiful.Jim Phelps Link to comment
Elstad 9 Posted May 12, 2010 Well I'll certainly be him I will... Early Hollywood glamor lighting, a thing of wonder it is. The photographers of those days were indeed masters of light. I have far to go to deserve such a comparison but I do thank you for it. Link to comment
jriherd 2 Posted May 13, 2010 I like this photo. I like the over all subdued tones of the photo. I like the way her eyes engage the viewer with all that feminine superiority. I like how the dominate color is in the turban and repeated in her nipples. I am most glad that you did not remove the small mole beneath her left arm. For me, it heightens the beauty of this photo immeasurably. I am somewhat distracted by the circular shadow at the juncture of her legs. It makes a subtle target for the eye that risks affecting the meaning of the photo. Perhaps a smidgen of dodging on her right thigh.Keep in mind that you are obviously a much better photographer than me. Good job.-JR Link to comment
juan carlos rivera 0 Posted May 13, 2010 I love all of this photo: texture, colour, pose, lighting, and the very sweet model forms. Congrats. Link to comment
havanai 0 Posted May 14, 2010 I think that, by far, this is the best image you've posted here. It's original. You've created a remarkable abstract composition. Constructive criticism? I wish her face, her eyes specifically, were not so sharply focused. I know that in portraits the conventional wisdom is to sharply focus the eyes. But this is not a facial portrait, far from it. In my opinion, you should be downplaying the face, not emphasizing it. I think the bright and sharp whites of her eyes are a distraction from the main subject, which is the beautifully lit and softly focused contours of the body. I'm not crazy about the satin turban either. But, overall, I love this photograph. Nicely done. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted May 14, 2010 I don't think I can top what has already been said! I love the way you have filled the frame here. I agree with most. This is a very good image indeed. Link to comment
