gallego 1 Posted May 13, 2010 Me gusta mucho, perfecta luz y excelentes tonos. ... Ideally, the dog looked the other way. With your permission, I make an easy exercise PS. If you do not like, I remove the image immediately. Saludos cordiales. Link to comment
David-Wisse 5 Posted May 13, 2010 Thanks for your time and example Gallego - I do believe yours is a nicer composition, although I am not sure how you did it! If you have the chance, I would appreciate a quick tutorial on the method.Best, David Link to comment
jrickert 2 Posted May 14, 2010 I know how to mirror the image, David. I have a photo of myself in my portfolio, in the "My Favorites from 2007 - 2009" folder of myself in a swing. I went to Paint Shop Photo Pro X3 > Image > Mirror. It flipped the image, as if I were in a mirror. Link to comment
David-Wisse 5 Posted May 15, 2010 Thanks Janice - looks like a great time on that swing! What Gallego did was flip just the dog in my photo, leaving the background the same. I imagine he selected the dog only to reverse, then cloned in any missing background. Take care, David Link to comment
krpradu 125 Posted May 16, 2010 I think same, that only dog was selected and flip,in fact I am sure about this, autumn with this ground arround makes this possible better that if it was lot of other elements, and finaly this is a very good shot as all other, best regards David. Link to comment
3m 0 Posted May 22, 2010 Hi David -- Yes a very nice capture of Hans indeed...! (Although I also agree about the proposed flip above by Jordi & think that the photo's composition would be even better, imo, with more visible space in front of Hans...Unfortunately I don't know how to achieve this type of flip either;-) -- Wishing you a very nice weekend & best regards, Marjolein Link to comment
dirk_juergensen 0 Posted May 22, 2010 I think I like the original better.Hans looks out of the frame and so it is ok that he stands near to the frame. And the arrangement of the trees harmonizes with the dog's back. And I like breaking the rules :-)Great shot, David. Link to comment
David-Wisse 5 Posted May 23, 2010 Thanks much Radu, Marjolien and Dirk. I value your insights greatly - more food for thought!Best, David Link to comment
