jerrymat 5 Posted May 10, 2010 Katerina, You have certainly captured the feeling of spring in her costume. I like the flowers and bright clothing. Where you seem to be having trouble is in the heavy contrast. One side of her face is almost hidden in darkness. So is her body. I think of spring as a bright and wonderful time. Here she looks a little fearful and hesitant. If the title were "Cinderella is told she cannot go to the ball" I could understand the composition better.Technically I think you need to use a fill light for the shadows. For facial expressions that capture the spirit you want to show, you need to work out a method that is in keeping with your own personality, but can engender the expressions that fit your theme.Regars,Jerry Matchett
nicolerenee 0 Posted May 10, 2010 Very pretty colors, the composition, facial expression and pose are all very akward though. It is also a little too contrasty and you might want to set up a reflector to bump some light back up into the shadows. Even a big white poster board can do the trick.Best of luck~!!
raddatzphoto 0 Posted May 11, 2010 Springs here in the midwest come like this. Trepidatious, flighty, reluctant.
