jim_j2 9 Posted October 13, 2010 Dan,I like the composition, but just a wee bit more DOF would have been nice. I like the clouds in the background. It appears a little dark on my screen, but that could just be my equipment too! It does make one more curios about the radial engine though!Looks like a BeechCraft of some sort? But I think too much slope on the windscreen to be a Twin Beech. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted October 15, 2010 Nice detail with the focus (forgive pun) on the business end of this aircraft. I agree with James about it being a bit dark but part company with both of you on the composition. I think this one lends itself better to a square crop. Some levels adjustment brightens the engine area but also brightens the background. This fix may or may not be suitable so some more sophisticated Photoshop hanky panky may be required. Airshows and auto shows almost dictate that details are the way to go since the background junk and people milling about are too hard to control to include the whole airplane\auto. B&W reduces the number of elements which could compete for the viewer's attention. Good choice! Thumbs up in any case. Best, LM. Link to comment
