taylorknight 0 Posted May 11, 2010 Beautiful and bizarre animals. Nice capture, Jeffrey. I like how the animals are positioned differently, yet they share identical expressions. Good detail and depth of field. I know you might've only had seconds to take this shot (and it's a mighty good one) but my only complaint is that the animals' hooves didn't make it into the frame. I would've preferred to see them included. However, it's really the expressions that make the photo, so the missing parts are easily overlooked. Nice work. Link to comment
jeffrey_sipress 0 Posted May 11, 2010 Yes, Taylor, I certainly agree. These animals are very skitterish. I'm out there with a fixed focal length lens (probably a 500 f4) and there is a split second window to capture these darling little creatures without a million things in the way. I'm in a stopped vehicle, and this is the framing that I had. There was no way to move back or zoom out. This was the most outstanding opportunity with the dikdik I had in over two weeks of shooting there. Link to comment
