Comp is perfect here as well the moment of covit (hope it's right expression). I think that due a harsh light you get the essencial out of the moment. Congrats, VS

Jim,

Just saw this on PN's Daily Sampling.  This is a great capture, and glad to see you made the Daily Sampling.

Thanks Bill, . . . a surprise to me too! A first! . . . and most likely the last!

A little extra public exposure couldn't hurt!

Regards always,

Thanks!

I'm surprised to learn that it has made it again!

This is one of my favorite Aerobatic images that I have.

A bit of further information;

This aircraft was lost in an Airshow crash early in 2011. This same aircraft was used by Kyle & Amanda Franklin in their Wingwalking performance. During a show in Texas the engine caught fire as Amanda was on the wing. As Kyle attempted to get the airplane on the ground and Amanda tried to get back into the cockpit, they crashed. Both survived the immediate crash, but sadly Amanda later died from her burns and injuries.

I had met them both, and my son has one of Amanda's publicity photographs (not by me) that she autographed personally to him from the Airshow we attended when my shot above was taken as well as the others of this aircraft in my aviation folder.

I don't think I can provide a link here. However, you can Google the "Franklin Airshow Crash" and come up with a lot of information from the news media as well as videos of the actual crash if interested.

Yes, I am quite proud to have had the opportunity to get some images of this aircraft.

Thanks again,

Regards always,

Jim j.

Jim, it is now February 2013 and once again you have made PN's Daily Sampling.  I have commented on this image before, but I still like.  And, PN must like it too, because this is the 3rd time I have seen it on the Daily Sampling.  Congrats...
