mark_q 0 Posted May 3, 2010 I do confess having being away quite a long time although lurking here time to time. This particular photo is welcome because it reminds me the early 80s, my fascination to serious large format urban landscape photography as proud owner of a 4x5" field camera.Maybe I have asked this before: I wonder how much time you typically spend on places like this to spot the best position and how much satisfaction that preparation, pre-viewing, gives you? Or do you just instinctly find the right spot and be done without hesitation, could this be improved. By no means these questions are written based on this photo as such, rather in general terms - so to say.Maybe this series of older originals you are submitting now will be a new start of similar theme (or side track)? It has been so quiet around here at PN, so enough time to write this much... ;-) Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted July 8, 2010 Here I am, visiting old friends, so many of whom have been missing in action for a long time now. I do miss photos like this, which you do so well. Elegantly composed with firm but gentle tones and color. I hope you'll be posting some new work soon, Laurent. Link to comment
