alvinyap 1 Posted September 7, 2010 Hiya! Testing out the new crit section, and also just to put up one of my favourite fox cub shots for crit. This is taken with a d300, 70-200VR at the British Wildlife Center. This is a rescued cub, been months since I've seen her, wonder how she's grown in the meantime. Link to comment
daveinwilton 1 Posted September 8, 2010 A beautiful portrait like shot. Eye is well focused, centered in the image, there is space for the kit to look into. It seems to be everything it is where it is supposed to be. So why do I miss its ears? There is some part of me that really want to see all of those wonderful ears. It might just be me. Best regards...-Dave Link to comment
kathyb 76 Posted September 8, 2010 About the new "critique"......... I am only allowed to select "yes" that it was helpful. ???????? Link to comment
bob_belanger 1 Posted September 9, 2010 I think I'd tend to agree with DL on the ears too. The shot seems well composed but the ears are chopped off. Still ok and the bg blends too much with the animal, again still ok. Just a nice shot but there's more that could be I suppose. But I can see why you liike this shot so much. I hope your experiment goes ok with the new system. I also did a post to try it out. Link to comment
alvinyap 1 Posted September 9, 2010 Cheers all! To be honest, I cannot remember why I cropped the ears off - except that it felt "right" when I was there and I pulled the trigger :) Alvin Link to comment
