Larch Growing from crevice

These two images are awesome! I like the colors, composition, textures, and needless to say your exposure was right on target.

I've always had a nagging feeling about this picture, like it was an

opportunity for a perfect photo that I didn't quite execute. I

remember being aware of the dark stuff on the upper right and just

kind of shrugging my shoulders. I don't remember scouting to the

right for a clear view of the same clump without the ledgy crud in the

background. I was at my focal length limit here (1.4 TC on top of the

far end of a 70-210 zoom), so I really couldn't frame any tighter.

 

Should I crop out the topmost of the two horizontal dark bars on the

upper right? I guess I'm pretty much stuck with the lower one.
