Guest Guest Posted April 24, 2010 The flower is very sharp, well exposed and with great texture. But it is dead in the center of the frame and small. There is a lot of wasted negative space all around it, which tends to detract from the subject.By cropping to a vertical format, since the flower is taller than it is wide, and that format will better compliment it, and placing it slightly off center, you create a much more dynamic image, that is considerably more interesting. I also rotated it a bit to help composition as well. Link to comment
