Nice!! The light is great, the DOF is perfect. Maybe the background could be darker, I personally think the tone of the background is to close of the tone of the foreground, but overall a great job I think. A 6 for me.

I have submitted my rating for this image.

I was pleased to see that you used a beanbag to steady the camera/lens.

Why not, there are good enough for various guns at the shooting range !

The Sigma 180 Macro was recently tested in my lab and found to be quite good, especially when compared to Canon and Nikon macros of similar focal lengths.

The beanbag is the best means if you can't go lower with your tripod.

The Sigmas are excellent, I had the 180 for my Pentax system, now the 150mm version for my Nikon D700.
