Anna's Hummingbird

ShunCheung

Nikon D300 with 300mm/f2.8 AF-S lens. I stopped down to f8 to gain some depth of filed and use 1/640 sec to stop the motion, at least for the body. To achieve that combo, I boosted the ISO by a stop to 400.

Great shot, love it. To get the wings I think you have to be at about 2000 or more shutter speed. NICE, NICE, NICE

Great hummer shot, Shun. I especially like the slight blurring of the wings. Excellent detail and colors as well.

I've never seen such a hummingbird photo...you feel like you can touch it.  Can you provide any details on how you made it.  How far were you from the critter?

wow, stunning!

it looks so perfect it looks made-up, like you photographed the hummingbird separately and pasted it onto a perfect background.  I'm sure you didn't.

great bokeh, great composition, bird is sharp as a tack!
