David,

This is really amazing composition.. I feel it could've been better with only one person, the second person could be off the frame whose is standing on the upper edge.

Mike, this cave is in Jackson County, it is on private property but if you ever get up to the Gadsden area I will take you there, it is about one hour drive from the house and about 45 minutes of walking thru the woods. It is well worth the time and effort to see, one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. A little fact about Jackson County is that it has more than 1500 charted caves, more than half of all the caves in the state of Alabama and has more caves than any other county in the United States.

Sreehari, I see what you mean and I believe you are right the comp would have been stronger with only me standing on the pedestal.

Thank you both for the comments.

The cascade of water and light into the darkness of the cave has created a very striking contrast. Neither of the extremes has been sacrificed, although I think the lighted area above may have lost a little detail. Personally, I would not hasten to remove the second figure on the right, as has been suggested. It helps to give balance to a scene that would otherwise be very 'centred'.

I think that the composition is excellent!!

and I really like the position of the two people: enhance the majesty of the place.

This version with people in the frame works better for me. Human figures give a sense of scale and the viewers feel joining them in admiring the beauty. Well done.
