Sumon,

Your focus is excellent. The contrast is very good. You have good detail in the lights and darks. She has very good eye contact with the camera (viewer). Her expression seems to be one of concern and distrust. I don't think she really likes the idea of you photographing her. Of course, the boy looks totally unconcerned that his picture is being made. The lighting, catch lights, skin tone, composition, background and subject separation from the background is all excellent. There is nothing technical in this image that I can fault. It is extremely well done.

Even though she is looking at the camera, this appears to be street portraiture, where no posing is involved. If this was a portrait, where you could direct them, I would be worried about their disinterest in each other. At the very least I would have her turned a bit towards him. As it is, she doesn't even seem to be aware that he is there, and he is in his own little world. There is no connection between the two. It almost makes you wonder what their relationship is.

As street photography or documentary photography this photograph is really very powerful and says many things. As a portrait it is a bit sterile.

It bothers me a little that just a chunk of her left wrist and bracelet is in the right bottom corner. I think I would take it out.

Nice shot,

Mark

Thanks a lot my friends for your strong support and inspiring comments.

Mark,

Lots of thanks to you for your scholarly comment on this photograph. Your comment is an incentive for me. Yes, this is a portrait on the street. Your critique is really valuable to me for making better compositions.

Best regards.
