To The Sea (Portrait)

I found myself wandering the streets of Pisco, Peru at sunset. I took tons of digital photos (Canon s30) of impressive churches backlit by this sky and got all the way to the plaza before I realized I should have dug out my SLR and taken a few slides as well. I was already late for a meeting, so I decided that it wasn't worth the effort to go back (stupid!) Instead, I snapped just two photos of this statue. Surprisingly, this turned out to be one of my favorite shots of the whole trip!
