Sitka Herring Spawn

Spent a couple of hours on the beach yesterday watching the sea wake

up. The herring spawn signals the real beginning of spring here. The

beaches crunch with eggs at low tide and the waves are roiled with

milt. The gulls, raven and eagles group for an easy meal. I caught this

guy landing. I am happy with the way it turned out. Please comment

and offer suggestions.

I don't see how it gets much better than this ....  legs and talons extended, full flaps on wings and tail, and great clarity on the head and eye!  Spectacular shot!
