This has been the hightest concentration of lupine I've ever seen. Thank

god the sun broke through for a minute here, I was waiting for it!

California's Central Valley (I love California!)

Wow Steve, the light coming through the broken clouds is magic. So, this looks like the lupine fields near the grapevine. I was there a couple of weeks ago. At that time, they were denser than this view, but I came away with only so so images because of overcast flat light. I also like this because the grasses are starting to dry some, giving it a yellow contrast. How did you get out in the field? I pulled into the grapevine, parked at the gas station and walked in from there. I've heard that the highway patrol is issuing citations for pulling over onto the shoulder of the interstate. Maybe you just hiked in from LA?

Classic. The light is pretty sweet; I especially like the loose pattern the grass interweaves through the lupines and the spot lighting on the green hill. Between this image and Mark G.'s, makes me almost sorry I moved away from my home state.

Beautiful photo. Beautiful landscape. In my opinion the clouds at the upper right corner does not fit in too well unfortunately however. Anyways, well done.

Wonderful shot - love the flowers and green hills in the background. Great capture.

Reminds me of Camas Prairie in my own home state - Idaho. It is a small region between Mountain Home and Sun Valley, near the small town of Fairfield. Wonderful Camas flowers bloom during Spring (which arrives late here compared to CA!) - and last for only a week or so. I have a few shots in my portfolio.
