I like the personal way the light feels in this photograph. It gives great presence to the footsteps, as if they are breathing. The trees don't seem a destination or goal. They seem a suggestion of something more, as does the corner of sunlight. There is subtle contrast here, rather than blatancy. There's warmth to the cold.
