tom_thurston 0 Posted February 25, 2003 I think I like it better when the left 1/3 or so is cropped off. Link to comment
pavel1 0 Posted February 26, 2003 Slightly lacking in sharpness. Or is that the look you were going for? I think a larger depth of field might work better and perhaps about -15 with the brightness in PS. Very striking woman with amazing eyes. Link to comment
havanai 0 Posted March 1, 2003 This is quite different, and therefore appealing. Part of the allure is the chaotic hair, but there are a few strands that are too chaotic....those running down the side of her nose to her lips and then past her chin. They draw so much attention. Usually shallow depth of field is desirable in portraits, but here I would like to have seen it deeper to sharpen the blur of the hair to the left of her cheekbone and even in front of her forehead. This is a terrific portrait and were it not for those distractions, I'd have given it a 6 or even 7 for aesthetics. Link to comment
louis1 0 Posted March 1, 2003 I cropped, adjusted curves & burnt in jacket . Thank you david for the ok to put this up. I found the neck distracting and leading out of the frame. The out of focus hair is not desireable. This is a really strong shot I could look at many times. David is there no difference in colours between the 2 shots? All the best Louis Link to comment
