sumon_mukherjee 0 Posted March 31, 2010 Lots of thanks my friends for your strong support and encouraging comments. I’m really glad to know that all of you liked this image. Scott I didn’t have any idea regarding the creatures in the picture. After noticing your comment I sent a mail to Dr.Barun Sengupta, an internationally famous oceanographer residing in USA, to get information regarding those creatures. I attached four photographs of the animal captured from different angles. Thanks to Dr. Sengupta. DR. Sengupta responded very promptly and noted that the creature is called Mantis shrimp. It’s not a shrimp. The technical name is Stomatopod. He has sent a link also for further information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mantis_shrimp I think, this may help you to know about these peculiar creatures. Best regards. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted March 31, 2010 Splendid lighting and a very beautiful golden atmosphere on the whole image. The "creatures" in the foreground adds to the total impression as does the fishermen in the background. Well done. Take good care dear Sumon and all the best from Jannica Link to comment
