Well done, unique POV. Is this the new church in Oakland, CA? I would be interested in the story behind the shot.

Wonderful symmetry, and a unique perspective. (Having said that, I'm wondering if you tried taking this shot so that the axis of the roof is not lined up so perfectly? Sometimes wonderful things happen when you skew tings in the frame somewhat. You could find some exaples in my own portfolio, and in some of the pics I have in my favorites.) Happy shooting!

I like the symmetry very much - this shot just "feels right".

The exposure is spot on for me too - I like it!.

Well done mate - keep up the good work.

Best regards

This image has much more of an abstract quality to it than the full picture. I like this for a different reason. Might want more of the side panels in this shot. Well seen. - Charles

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I really appreciate the comments.

This church is only a few miles away from my house in Oakland, CA. They completed construction on it in 2008. Here is a website that shows the step-by-step construction from 2005 to 2008.

Although I've gone by the Cathedral dozens of times, I hadn't gone in until a few months ago. The outside is quite beautiful, but the inside is clearly breathtaking. With the exception of a couple people, I had the entire cathedral to myself. It was later in the day, so it was a little dark inside.

This represents one of the first batches of photos that I have shot in raw with my new 50D. I did slight adjustments to brightness, alignment, and cropping. It's one of the first photos I've taken that I can stand looking at. :)
