Waikiki at Dusk (Best Large)

vincetylor

The Waikiki beach skyline is simply one of the most colorful places to be just after sunset. The city lights come alive, and there is just enough natural lighting left to see DiamondHead mountain in the background as well as a colorful sky. I used a tripod and focused on the lights to get a good measure of sharpness. Even though I've been shooting for a while, I still get excited when I see a view like this for the first time through my lens. I used a Cokin Pink 1 on the sky only. The rest is natural. Opinions are always welcome...Aloha! www.hawaiianphotos.net

It's amazing how you got all that detail in the sea with all the lights on the left. A beautiful image.

Gorgeous. Very postcard-like. I can just see the "Wish You Were Here" scrawled across the top. And indeed I do wish I was there.

It is like a window to another world for me here in VA - we live below zero and have snow and ice almost everyday.

Thank you Vince.

Great colors. I think I like this better than the sunrise shot, just because of the color. The one thing I don`t like is the pink tint on the tops of the taller buildings but undestandably this is from the filter. The pink tint on the buildings is probably worth the extra color in the sky though. Overall excellent photo. 7/7
