Godzilla Makes A House Call

This is my bearded dragon posing behind a 1 inch scale dollhouse. My

Photo teacher loved it, but I'm thinking everyone's seen similar

before.

As soon as I saw the thumbnail I knew I liked the photo alot. Very enjoyable to stare at, and I love the patterns on the wall/carpet. Great job!!

This image is successful because it is simple & has impact. Humor? Try putting Ken or Barbie doll face down on floor so just the legs are showing, feet nearest the lizard. More humor? Bite off one foot.

Very funny shot! :-) I thought it was photoshopped when I first flanced at the thumbnail. Makes it so much better it's real. haha

What an excellent shot not only put together in a simple manor to ease recognition but also beautiful tonal rendition, this print is an absolute success.

I was going to correct you, but then it could be both a simple manor & manner.

Whiel teechnically this photo works, it really doesn't do much for me in the originality department. It's sharp, well-composed, and you cropped it nicely. I see you've had it for nearly three years, which means you like it a lot, and it's easy to see why.

 

But originality isn't a word I'd associate with it. It reminds me a lot of 50's B-movies that tended to copy each other's images and special effects. (About the only movie from that special effects era that you're likely to find in your local Blockbuster is "Journey to the Center of the Earth," but the story there hardly qualifies it as a B-movie. But I digress.)

 

What would make this image stronger is putting others like it together to form an exhibit with a common theme. On it's own it's okay, but it might be better when placed among other photos which play on size.
