I welcome any feedback you may have, especially about this picture's

composition.

Do you think there are certain subjects that are so "good" that it is

more difficult to take a "bad" picture of them? I kind of felt that

way about the Golden Gate.

Thanks!

I just visited S.F. and took pictures (again) from the S.F. Pacific ocean side. I like the perspective, wide angle, and composition you used, with the main support of the bridge also being the left frame for the picture. The diagonal lines make the picture dynamic, even with the heavy balance on the left side. I think it is a creative perspective on an often photographed world landmark.

Nice composition, Kevin. I am going to SF next week on a photoshoot, I hope my bridge photos come out as well as this one! Last time I was there, I walked the bridge, but did not have a camera. I want to get some shots looking up one of those towers. That bridge is a marvel of engineering, as your photo clearly shows.

I love the image. The composition is nice and the colours are terrific. The only thing I would have tried different is to take it with a ND filter, so that you can increase the shutter speed and blur the cars away. Nice shot!

... and fairly well-executed within the constraints of what you had to work with.

My only suggestion for improvement on this would be altering the composition slightly so that the very top of the nearest tower were visible.

Fantastic shot Kevin! Framing with the tower gives the impression of the breadth of the bridge! I might use a film with a little warmer color saturation or a warming filter to make the red of the bridge stand out more, but you did a fine job!

I like it. As the above poster said, the right side tower could use some "breathing" room. I also like the boat on the lower right about to sail under the bridge (don't know if that was intentional or not, but great touch if it was!).

Also, and this is not to take away from your picture, I think there ARE certain subjects that it is very difficult to take a bad picture of. You are just capturing its "inherent beauty" so to speak. The GGB is a marvelous work of architecture, and you've captured a great shot of it.
