John, I think the light and colors are both just a bit dull and underexposed, and the seat and handlebars just fade into the background elements too much.  Some might argue that's just what the image of an old bike should show, but in this case it just doesn't seem to be working for me.  If I were standing here with a camera in hand, I'd be focusing on the front wheel buried in the dead leaves and the rusting front fender.  I think those could be seen more clearly and still carry the message of an old, abandoned bicycle.
