This would make a terrific water color painting!

 

Here is a PS watercolor adaption of this photo, although it is "painted" by a computer, it is still very pleasing to the eye.

Nice color work, I agree that this image provokes thoughts about being a subject of a good painting, but I would go with much lighter tones upon conversion.

Love your Venice series, Paul.  This is my favorite.  Marvelous colors and contrast not to mention the nice reflection.
