Thank you Ali for your wonderful insect photos. I am an entomologist and can honestly say that your images are some of the most perfect I have seen.

It could be the editors of photo.net who do this, but there is a mistake in the naming of insect species, that is, that the second word of the insect's title (ie. the species) should not begin with a capital letter.

 

The correct title of the insect above should be  Bombylius major
