The Glance

I like this. The neutral look on her face, and the casual interest she's showing in whatever's out there are very good. The reflected colour of the snow in the whites of her eyes is a good touch, as well.

The slghtly off-squre framing/crop is a bit unsettling, though. I wonder if this might have worked as well with a square shape that allowed the top of her head? Also, the thick grey border is a bit strong, I find.

She's charming!! I love her expression ... and your caption makes it even better! I also love her garb. Nice work!!

Good soft lighting in her face. The crop bothers me, she shouldn't be in the middle of the photo and you should have given her somewhere to look to, using the rule-of-thirds

Wonderful portrait. I like her far off gaze, nice colors on hat, and well lit. Very nice portrait.

I think she has enough room to look into, but if you simply want to apply the rule you could crop the left side to make it similar to the crop at the top.

I like the shot, but 2 problems here:

1. Composition is not correct. Perhaps add at the top can help. Another possibility is more close cut.

2. Noise level. Try some soft to remove it. Neat image is good for this.

Victor, this is a scan from print that could cause some slight noise (I wouldn't say it's so bad). As for cropping, I can't add on the top, so Joe's suggestion posted above is same as your's. Thanks.
