Great shot, Jeff! An interesting, not often to be seen and extremely uncomfortable perspective in wedding photography. Do these brides trip often? Anyway, the dress you captured perfectly, just enough folds in a balanced composition. The light reflection in the top left is unfortunate though. And it's a shame those feet don't stand out more. Of course, there's no sun and the dress removes much of the available light. Maybe wait for a bride wearing bright red socks?

Squarely cropped, as above, works too. But I'm just thinking out loud. Hope you don't mind. Cheers,

Jeroen,

Yes, I think the square crop works better. It puts more focus on the subect, namely the shoes. I'd be waiting a long time for red socks on a shot like this, they always wear white. ^_^ They don't trip that often, but they do look like they will fall down at any minute. The shoes are way too small, and those kimonos are a lot heavier than they look.

Thanks for the comments.

But with the cropping you would have lost the details of the embroidery. Very important for the Japanese? I like yours better Jeff.

I have to agree with Alec, I want to see the embroidery. I even want it sharpened, I sharpened it is P/S and it looks great. Not surre if it will show.
