This one really caught my eye, Per. The color is "off the screen" amazing and the graphic lines and composition are really nice. One suggestion for a more abstract composition. What if you rotated the whole image so that the trunk of the tree were more towards one of the lower corners of the frame?

Dear Ali, Didi, Sonia, Mark, Sarah, Chtistoph, FN, Stu, Amey, Anura, Tony and Isabelle. Thank you for your overwhelming and positive reception of my upload. This has been my favorite garden tree since I bought it almost 22 years ago. Tony: With respect to the granite brick wall there was really not much I could do about it. I am generally fond of it, but I agree that it does not improve this picture.

Stu: Your idea of rotation is interesting, but again the brickwall would look kind of stupid at 45 degrees. Best regards Per.

Interesting composition Per! The colors are fabulous, and contrast nicely with the darker branches! I don't think there's much you could have done about the brick wall in the background without loosing much of the appeal of the composition. I don't find it detracts from the image really. My eye's drawn along the lines of the tree to the marvelous colors instead of the wall.
