Mount Royal Winter Activities

LenMarriott

Candid capture of some fun on Mount Royal in the winter of 1959-60. Minolta Autocord, tri-x (probably), 1\500 (most likely) Pre-focus and hope for the best! The rest of the technicals lost to antiquity. LM.

I am browsing your page, I saw this photo in the corner of random photo bar. It has a very creative snow texture.

I read the name of the actor Bobby Darin as you want to be sure.

third from the left, possibly be Bobby Darin?

I am not sure but I want to share with you…

Bobby Darin married Sandra Dee; they met while making the film Come September. So I invite you to listen to a very beautiful piece of melody known as " Come September ". it is in the following link

By the way I am still waiting your overall view photo of Canada's National War Memorial.

Thanks for your interest in this one & for the trivia update & link to the music.  Quite a web page you have.  I'm still working on getting the overall shot of the cenotaph to screen.  Thanks for your patience.  Soon!  Best, LM.

There's is much talk nowadays about the capture of the moment but you seem to have a natural understanding of that precise instant when everything comes together and the picture must be taken; this is an excellent example. It's timeless and full of life and that toboggan and its riders will be forever on the verge of plowing into the snow bank. I'm happy to have discovered your work and will visit again often. Regards, Jack

Len:  Your 20th Century shots are great.  I particularly like the expressions in this one.  Well caught - both the participants and spectators.  Alan

Yah, the expressions.  The participants anticipating a survivable crash and the spectators not so sure.  One from the old shoebox via the Epson V500.  Good to have your views.  Best, LM.

I really appreciate the effort you've made in digging through my folders to come up with a comment on this old treasure. (circa 1960)  Responses to these posts make it all worth while.  Best, LM.
