thanks gunnar but to be frank some little things bug me a lot here. the arm of the left chair lines up perfectly with the edge of the table top, i missed it on the right. AND, the position of the camera apparently was not dead-on since the back table frame is not symmetrically placed relative to the front frame. really bugs me that i could not see it on the camera's 3 inch back screen.

Dror, all right, maybe I am agree with you concerning the edge of the right chair, but still all these are very minor "errors". I think that it is even better that all these things are as these are.

I wondered if this was your home or your work; maybe it is both.... First let me say that this is clean and very modern, the colors must brighten up the room as well as a mood! I know little about what makes a great architectural image work but I do like everything about this in spite of your own critique. I am proud of you for submitting to the monthly project, I have not done my upload yet and need to get on the ball as this is a short month! Thanks for sharing!

Warm regards, Pamela

Dear Dror,

In some occasions we forget that we are artists not craftsman, due to this, the possibility that we don’t made all thinks in a perfect way is real fact. On the other hand this situation provokes that we try one and other time to increase our knowledge and our desire to improve our images ,some times going back to the scene and capturing again the subject, giving to us the illusion and the motivation to go ahead…From this little analysis, I think that the image is a good image…Can be done better? Sure, but in any case to take an image not perfectly don’t say to us to had been taken a bad image. In my opinion, is very important don’t forget this point of view… All the best

thank you friends for trying to make me feel better about the "blunders" here. i do appreciate it, gunnar, pamela and mario. i agree with you about the dangers of mechanics and that, that at the end of the day, it is about the "art", but lining things up is at my core. can not get away from it.

How beautifully clean and ultramodern this feels, wrapping up many mid 20th century influences. Beautifully lit as well.

jeff, thank you for the comment, i appreciate it. a slight correction is in order, the furniture was designed in the 1920's and the mural obviously pays homage to the period. thank you again, dror.

Excellent artistic presentation Dror……professionally captured. …….Wonderful nicely contrasting color tones and perfect light treatment.

I like your desire for perfection here, but honestly I would have been satisfied with an image like that. But you will say this makes the difference between the master and the novice ... I like the colors and the whole composition. I'm also surprised to learn that furniture was designed in the 1920's. Beautiful image. Regards, Jean-Marc

jean marc, thank you. the table was designed by the french/swiss architect, le corbusier and the chairs by the dutch architect, mark stam. thanks again and all the best, dror.

Your image really captures the spirit of the modernist movement, Dror. And that is in the end what matters, not the minutest technical flaw. Im interested to know, where you shot this beauty? Congratulations!

bettie,

big thanks. the space is our dining room. the table is actually 2.23 meters long (88 inches) and so I just removed a couple of chairs on each side of the table to "clean up" the image. I've always had great affinity to modernism and all that it stood for. today, in the realm of architecture at least, it is just another "style".it is interesting to me that you use the word "spirit", spot on. thanks again, dror.
