gunnar1664882369 1 Posted February 22, 2010 I suspect that you have your camera with tripod adjusted for automatic periodical shooting (24/7) on this direction:-). Actually this is already an excellent collection of documentary about the life of this corner. Stunning photograph and collection. Best regards. Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted February 22, 2010 A very different take from the lovers' embrace. I like how the older(?) gentleman has one shoe off and one shoe on. The diagonal line separating the wall from the water is a nice touch, working well with the rest of the lines--the chess board, the man's legs, and so forth. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 22, 2010 Again an interesting collection of work and the use of your trained eye to capture everyday life and present it in such a unique and interest way is what I enjoy about your photography. Regarding your comment on Wayang, there are numerous versious there is the shadow type of which you mentioned, there is a more unique wayang puppet that is more demensional and very colorful and collectable comes from the area new to Yogyajakarta, then there is living wayang very detailed and worked as captured in my shots, it takes hours to complete and a lot of work by the players and they use a move complex version of Jawa. Jack McRitchie 150 Posted February 24, 2010 His white body against the murky darkness of the river makes him look like a colossus, if only a colossus of chess. Link to comment
Alex 0 Posted February 24, 2010 Great point of view and tremendous capture. The image is great. I love the whole surrounding. The game is some how intellectual and the the guys make it look so casual, one missing one shoe seating by the water. Awesome picture.Alex Link to comment
andrea-de-bonis 6 Posted February 24, 2010 la ryanair ha inaugurato un volo parigi-banchinasulpodiel. sembra che mr phaidon abbia già prenotato. una più bella dell'altra, mai visto un posto così ben frequentato. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted February 24, 2010 El... So unpretentious, casual and real life at the moment. A left handed man playing against a man with a missing digit on his left hand; two men (perhaps father and son) taking time for a game even though time is still important because they both wear watches even in their leisure. Though I'm not a student of chess, it appears the wisdom of age is winning. Superb b/w treatment as always... Mike Link to comment
mdineen 0 Posted February 24, 2010 beautifully done el. fantastic tones, and you know i love the steps. Link to comment
elportebonheur 0 Posted February 25, 2010 Withs lots of interest and amusement I read your kind and supporting comments. I really appreciate that you spent some time here and let me know your opinions. Thank you very much indeed. To Gunnar:.........Tripod and 24/7 is a good idea.I will consider the option ;) To Jeff:...............Indeed, the two guys are real characters. That's why I decided to share this image with you. Interesting that you mentioned the diagonal lines. Honestly, I only found out that they fit quite nicely after I downloaded and reviewed the material I shot that day. To Michael:........You really dig into the photographes. Amazing that you saw the missing digit. Always a pleasure to read you! Link to comment
