Thanks Linda. One of the overpasses linking Boston to Cambridge. I've walked passed it a million times, but never with a camera until this shot.

A beautiful black and white shot Jeff that is a bit more straight forward than I'm used to from you. Beautiful shades of gray throughout and I love the little windows created by the arches. A really nice shot, Jeff!

Agreed...wonderful perspective and composition. the tall building actually adds to the photo by breaking symmetry. compliments -koushik

Tim: Sometimes I take conventional shots just to see if I can still do it. Originally, this was in color and had some brilliant splashes of it here and there, but it seemed more stately and contained in B&W.

Jack: I rarely have my camera when I'm wandering through Boston (partly because there are parts I wander through where I'm sure I'd return home without it). Since this is smackdab between the police station and jail, I felt relatively at ease.

Koushik: This whole area has gentrified. To the right is now a lovely park. That apartment building you commented on is a new addition to what was a pretty grimy bleak skyline.

Lovely DOF and fine tones really elevate this image. At first, I took the title literally, and imagined that Jesus Christ must have preached in a lot of noisy forums like this. Once I figured it out, I immediately thought of the guy at the Powell Street cable car hub at Market Street in San Francisco with a sign warning the prospective passengers that the end of the world is near. 'Course, for many of them, it is the end of their money and consequently, their vacations, that was tragically imminent. No comment on the other one.

Beautiful angle and DOF, It is like two lighted "eyes' looking out to see what is behind the bridge...;-)) very nice B/W conversion.

El: Glad you like this one. It's just a street shot, but seemed to have a bit of charm to it. Thanks.

Emmanuel: This is right next to the police station. Of course, there is always a homeless person or two huddled somewhere. The other day, a woman with a heavy, stained coat was stopping traffic screaming at a police officer who was screaming back through a bullhorn, telling her to leave the area and never return. I'm surprised she wasn't arrested for all the commotion she was causing, given that this is a main thoroughfare into Boston from Cambridge. Directly above this shot is the T. Anyhow, I can't imagine Jesus staying around Boston. It'd be a rough crowd.

Alex: You know me, delusions of grandeur.

Pnina: I never thought of them as eyes before your comment, but now I do. I thought more in terms of stained-glass windows. Thanks.

Ruud: Thanks a bunch.

Carlos: Any projections I would be interested in hearing.

Tony: I'm working on my B&W's (at least this week I am).

I can't imagine Jesus hanging around Boston, either. If he did, he would have put in a word to the Father about either the "Big Dig" or the Red Sox. Neither would have took as long as it did to get from Point A to Point B.

This is a fantastic picture Jeff. I really mean that. I enlarged it and it left me breathless after it kicked my butt, busted my gut. What does it is the combination of powerful geometries, very sharp lines, great light, the tremendous play of the handrail zig zag shadows, the crisp building to the right...there are a bunch of stuff working together in perfect harmony. This is great art Jeff, it might sound like i am kissing up but I am not...I am truly very impressed with picture. I really like it. The only thing I would do different maybe is a bit less sidewalk at the bottom. Really I am not even sure its not part of the charm so do not listen to my advice...it's perfect as is. Your lens is very good.
