ian_macdonald2 0 Posted February 17, 2003 I wonder how this would look in B&W - proabably would need the contrast cranked up a bit. I love the walk of the two people. Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted February 18, 2003 Encore une très belle image des ruelles de Seville. Felicitations Link to comment
rob_malkin 0 Posted February 18, 2003 this might be me but for some reason i fnd the motor bike to be a real distraction, i find this with many pictures it is almost as if objects which depict the time of the picture are not as pure or as 'good' as ones which without the photographers information would loook right in any century, maybe this is just me, otherwise well done Link to comment

barry_sharpnack1 0 Posted February 18, 2003 I disagree with a prior reviewer: I think the motorbike is a great addition. This is how people really get around in tightly-cropped European (and Asian) streets, and represents life in many citites. It's a common sight, not contrived or out of place at all. The red border bugs me a bit, too, though. Perhaps it was to match the boy's colorful shorts? Link to comment
smhickel 0 Posted February 18, 2003 Yes the frame is to complement the boy's shorts. Original is sans frame. Link to comment
david bennett 0 Posted February 19, 2003 This is an ordinary shot, so I ask myself, why does it look so good? I think the 'L' of shadow on the left and across the ground gives a good base for the detail above; the overall contrast is not too great thanks to the lack of very much sky; it is sharp; the colours are in a pleasing palette and there is lots of pleasing architectural detail; there is a nice rectangle of light on the ground leading into the photo with the feeling of light spilling in from above, and the boy is animated. Good photo. Link to comment
