roy_des_ruisseaux 0 Posted February 16, 2003 Leon photographing an anti- war demo doesn't make you anti- American. For that matter taking part in an anti- war protest doesn't make you anti- American either. Here in the US protesting the satus quo is a great passtime. Most of the anti war demonstators are good Americans a few are not. Link to comment
markrupert 0 Posted February 16, 2003 I like this image, especially the eagle puppet above the crowd, which makes it clear whose war is being opposed. No disclaimer required. thanks, Mark Link to comment
biff getchel 0 Posted February 16, 2003 I actually appreciate Leon's disclaimer. While there's no problem with war protests, there is a problem if trying to use a photo forum as a political soapbox. By advising that it's the photo, and not the "statement" being posted, we avoid potentially exposing a sore spot. Congrats on your new lens! Link to comment
stephen hazelton 3 Posted February 17, 2003 I remember the good ol' days, when people waited till there was actually a war before protesting it! Link to comment
craig_landry 0 Posted February 17, 2003 Would the 50-500 work well on my D-60? What would be the con's of the extreme (500) zoom? I am assuming that I would need a tripod for this much zoom. Link to comment
leon_jedrzejewski 0 Posted February 17, 2003 All the pics taken at the demo were hand held in low light the 50-500 weigh's in at nearly 1.4kg that's nearly 3.5lbs so a tripod is advisable but handheld was just as good but depend's on what you are photograghing IMHO. I would assume it would work fine on a D60. I am over the moon with this lens. Link to comment
