_mc_ 0 Posted February 17, 2003 simple and effective composition. The best in your folder, I think. Link to comment
vishwa 0 Posted February 17, 2003 one of the best images with a boat that I have seen. Very minimal and abstract in quality. Excellent aesthetic. Link to comment

peta 0 Posted April 28, 2003 Atle this is stunning, as are the other photos in this folder. I love the blue, find it quite mesmerizing and calming. Thank you for your helpful comment on my sunset. Seeing your work here wishes this 'stuck in the middle of landlocked Texas Kiwi'was back in her homeland of New Zealand! Link to comment

judibrenstein 0 Posted August 17, 2004 The rope really makes this already great image top-notch! Link to comment
leighperry 0 Posted March 17, 2005 I agree about the rope Atle. It's positioned superbly. The blue mood suits the shot perfectly too. It's very grainy though. Is that due to the scanner you mentioned in the technical notes? Link to comment
atle.g 0 Posted March 17, 2005 Leigh..Yes its very grainy, it was a cheap crappy flatbed i bought but sent it back after a week. Regarding this shot i did not use tripod, so i use an old chair and some wood planks for support. Havent seen the slide for a long time, but when seing the photo its very appearant that the upper part of the rope is blurred..this i belive are due to the relative shallow dof. Even with that.. it's several seconds exposure time here... but with a tripod i could go for a much longer exposure to increase the dof and have everything in focus. The water was extremly still so i dont think boat movement would be a major problem either. Link to comment
