jimmy_hardman 0 Posted February 12, 2010 My friend and I were in Montana for a wedding and on our way back from Glacier National Park we were forced to take several detours due to a huge fire. Upon cresting a hill, I looked up, saw this landscape in front of us and said, "OMG, Pull over! It looks like Aliens are shining their spaceship lights on the earth...." I put my trusty G7 into Panoramic mode and took several handheld stitch shots.... Link to comment

rickbarbosa 0 Posted February 14, 2010 Very nice pan. Was it a tall standing plume before it looked like this, or did the column just push straight across? Link to comment
jimmy_hardman 0 Posted February 16, 2010 The Jocko Lakes fire was a huge fire and it spanned 18000 acres, so there were various fires spread throughout the area. Everywhere we looked there seemed to be a fire erupting. The picture was taken in the late afternoon and it actually looked pitch black in some areas. It was snowing flakes of ash....Jimmy Link to comment
