Bird of Paradise with a friend. (Best Large)

Was shooting local flora when the opportunity came to shoot some wildlife at the same time. Opinions always welcome. www.hawaiianphotos.net

This is one of my favorite flower shots on this web site. Sure there are irregularities due to the Photoshop enhancements, but it gives it almost a painted appearance which I love.

I remember this shot from a while ago. I like the lizard. I think the flowers in the background could go darker without any detriment, but with possible benefit. Very colorful.

This is the most incredible collection of perfectly composed photography I have seen on this site, or anywhere for that matter. You are an inspiration to this young photographer. Thank you for sharing your work with us!

I have since re-edited this image and posted the cleaner version. Here is an attachment of the original upload for those wanting to see what all of the comments above were talking about. A tip of the hat to Marc G for the suggestion to leave the background basically unimpeded. Aloha.

Thanks, Vincent. This picture popped up again in my "follow-up" listing of previous comments, and I can now see my suggestions were of some use to you. That's great. I have to say that the new version is way nicer than the old one imo. Great job, this time. Regards.

"but the original background has all these beautiful circles which were quite interesting to me. Regards." Marc G., February 17, 2003; 11:43 P.M.

"The background?? Give me a break. It has water drop reflections that make it VERY distracting. To say that you prefer that to a more solid, less distracting one, is so very hard to believe." Vincent K. Tylor, February 18, 2003; 01:16 A.M.

heh heh...sometimes it takes a while for a good idea to sink in.....

Actually when I received the 222 meg scan of this last Summer, your opinion about the background stuck with me. I decided to see how it looked with the needed tweaks without touching the background. I admit it really does look better...much better at that. Other family/biz partners agreed. Many thanks Marc...even though you were playing "silly jokes" on this day! heh...

Here is the other image I agreed with your suggestions on. Thanks for the advice there too. Aloha.

Great photo, as usual Vincent. :o)

Marc, I can appreciate your critiques of photos, but I don't need your critiques of the critiques of others. That isn't what this site is about, so frankly, you're a bit of a bore.
