Unbelievable. David was one of the kindest, gentlest people on photo.net or anywhere else.

He couldn't have known that the caption of this image would be a harbinger. I've never met or even seen a photo of the man, but because of his kindness I can say he will be always missed and never forgotten.

...curiously your last job calls lamentation. It's a premonition of the pain for your death. I'm very sad. We have lost a friend and a great photographer. Rests in peace, my friend.

"Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him" (I Corinthians 2:9).

May his soul rest in peace in heaven!

I share the sadness with all of you here. My wish is that the people that knew him in real life or in a forum like this, keep his memory with them forever...

I see now that I commented on this on 15th, least suspecting that David will not see it. It's difficult to believe it even now. Here's a quote from David's comment on one of my photos showing a cockroach:

"I never kill this sensible insects. The insecticides use to be harmful. I catch them with a disposable glass, and after that I use a paper or carton in the open side. The last step is going out of the house and in the street, just liberate them. They love living in drain holes. Take in count that they are blind and defenceless."

a man full of kindness has thus been withdrawn...leaving us with lamentation. -koushik

Our lamentation on the loss of a good friend to many of us, always offering so sincer & kind words to our photos, giviing good encouragement to us, & the loss of a superb photographer. I will always remember David, my dear friend whom I have learnt much in photography. (and thank you Mari for informing me, otherwise I would not have known being not active for some time)
