I cannot explain the psychological weight of this photograph, but I recognize it; perhaps it suggests something mythical, or something so basic I cannot find words for it. But then that's why I used to photograph, because I could not find words enough to say what an image conveyed. Whatever this conveys, it is a beautiful photograph that evokes a strong feeling. This is a photograph I will return to and contemplate.
