jillmyers 0 Posted November 8, 2004 I love this image...can't even explain why. There's something really honest feeling about it. Link to comment
stephanie_oswald 0 Posted April 15, 2008 I love this photo. I think the structure of it really works - strangely enough I don't think that the background is distracting. Maybe because the lines of the swimming-pool actually converge towards the characters, I don't know. Also, you have the right depth of field I think - you can see the background but without it coming out too strongly. And the expressions are great - the guy has such a natural/shy expression. And the girl has a nice smile. Also, generally I try not to have people in the middle of the photo but in this case it works well. It's great, really like it. Good quality of B&W as well, good contrast - not too strong, soft enough for the portrait. Is this digital? I guess it is. Link to comment
james_lawrence2 0 Posted May 1, 2008 I agree with the other comments in that I like this photo a lot. I think that it is very true to life because I think that the girl resting her arms on the guy is a very natural way to pose and affectionate without being erotic. I think that this is more realistic love (or simply friendship) than some of the over the top portraits of one person basically sticking their tongue down someone elses throat. I enjoy art that reminds me of something that I have (or could've possibly) seen or felt. It is simple, but powerful in my oppinion. btw, you also score points for not photoshopping the crap out of a pic and making it look like a cartoon... Link to comment
