acarodp 0 Posted February 10, 2010 I think you could as well have called this "three solitudes". While their worlds came close to one another in the room, they don't touch, or at least, they don't seem to touch in this image. Each one of them looks her own way, all gazes are low also, they don't meet each other but also they don't seem to look at the open bright world outside. They are closed in themselves. The sense of "closedness" is mainly given by the woman at left, who seem to deny any contact with the photographer, and the viewer as a consequence. The composition is very "journalistic", which I like, and I think the contrasty B&W works quite well with the mood of the scene. Cheers! L. Link to comment
toshio 8 Posted February 10, 2010 Thanks for your very observant and kind comment. That was exactly what I saw in this place. Three women, totally unrelated with eadh other, are now related in my capture forever as elements of the preserved image. That is the wonder of photography.
