Chris Coulston has been a professor of Computer Engineering at Penn State Erie for

the past 10 years. He enjoys teaching students how to design digital systems to solve

practical problems. In his spare time Chris races bikes and runs, a lot. He is attracted

to endurance events because they are less about competing against other riders and

more about competing against oneself.

Excellent- quite a powerful image with the closeness and his direct gaze back at us - creates a lot of tension for me as a viewer, which lends to the strength of the sitter. Much like Avedon's work out in the west. I wonder how it would look with the top of his head darkened slightly, as the lightness draws my eyes away from his. Great shot and very well processed- thanks for sharing it with us-

Mark
