ron_steedman 0 Posted January 29, 2010 Good models, but they're looking directly at the sun, and that creates hard shadows that obscure the eyes of the lady in the pinkish dress and doesn't flatter her soft curves. And while the background says something, there aren't enough clues to identify what event they're watching / participating in. Link to comment
hayward 0 Posted January 30, 2010 Happy shot that would be meaningful to the girls, who are presumably friends, but a bit generic to really stand on its own as a photo. I think this one: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=10168991 is probably the strongest in your portfolio, although I would crop it and avoid centering your subject. Link to comment
yannis_georgikopoulos 0 Posted January 30, 2010 Ron, M, thank you for your critiques and your advices. The girls are not my friends (unfortunately I would say:)) and as a result I could not ask them to change their position to the sun. The background It's all about a technoparade in Paris, where we had gone with a friend to take the best photos possible! Anyway, John I really like this photo of mine (goat and old lady), but if you pay more attention I think you will find more interesting samples. Thanks a lot once more, Best Regards Link to comment

ellery 0 Posted February 10, 2010 Its a greet candid/snapshot -- expressions and glasses make it a nice shot to document the occassion - I think if you viewed this in a series of the event it really works - sure the light could be more flattering, there are some pretty harsh highlights there, but that was the light you were given - best to put the sun on their back and perhaps get some fill in there, I am sure you could have badgered them to turning a bit, but overall I like this vibrant snapshot :) Take care.
