jimmcnitt 0 Posted February 13, 2003 Dare I ask, is the similarity (both tight profiles in B&W) between "Charlie" and "Thinking" merely a coincidence? At any rate, both are strong photos, although Charlie with his attentive ears, open mouth and upturned gaze is my favorite of the two. But both images are sharp with good tonality, composition and a skilled use of DOF to isolate the subjects. Link to comment
angel_o. 0 Posted February 13, 2003 Yes, you are right. The other photo is a portrait of my wife being completely sceptical about Charlie's (the dog of my parents, 18 months old) love for wood sticks. This one is was taken maybe 15 minutes later. In this situation, my wife was holding a wood stick and he was holding on to catch it (btw, he didn't wait too long ;) ) Link to comment
sarah_robertson_glasgow 0 Posted February 18, 2003 I love it. I see this expression on my dogs' faces countless times a day - but I have yet to capture it on film as successfully as you have! Link to comment

nate_c 0 Posted March 5, 2003 This is the Best portrait of Charlie. This photo some how seems surreal?! How he is possed looking in an upward direction, is what makes this picture work for me. Link to comment
photobyas 0 Posted July 27, 2003 Normally I am not so interested in pictures of animals but this picture really got my attention. The dark sky helps creating the special mood. It looks a bit as if Charlie is waiting for somebody who is never going to return. Fortunately we know that it is not the case. ;) Anyway, great picture. angel_o. 0 Posted July 31, 2003 Anthony, thanks for your kind comment. Indeed, Charlie is anxious to chase once more after his stick - he's a young dog "obsessed" by sticks... ;-) Greetings to Passau. Link to comment
hayward 0 Posted September 1, 2003 This might be my favorite photo in your portfolio. Liek the other one I commented on, you've really reduced it to essential elements. The black * white was a good, good choice. Link to comment
